The new year is upon us and that means many are resolving to make a change in their lives. While many may resolve to quit doing something, at Carry the Future, we want you to do the opposite. Make this the year that you resolve to do something to help refugees.
There are so many ways that you can help:
Help Asylum Seekers
If you’ve been watching the news, you may feel a desire to help those seeking asylum at the United States’ southern border. Carry the Future’s Board of Directors has five ways that anyone who feels compelled to can help. Follow the link for 5 Ways to Respond to Asylum Seekers.
Become a Volunteer
Carry the Future is always in need of more volunteers. Whatever your area of expertise, you can help our cause. Even if you only have 1 hour a week to give, we can use your help! Follow the link for available staff positions at Carry the Future.
There are few things as magical as seeing the joy on a child’s face. A new blanket to cuddle, a handmade toy to love, a scarf and mittens to keep them warm—if you are gifted at knitting, sewing, or crocheting, we have the perfect place to put your talents to use. Follow the link to learn more about the Me2You Campaign.
Educate Yourself and Others
Even a simple act, such as reading, can make a big impact on the world. At Carry the Future, we believe that raising world changers is one important way to help refugees. We have a vast collection of book recommendations for every age. Follow the link to view our Raising World Changers series.
Helping refugees may seem like an insurmountable task, but when we are empowered together, we can change the world. From hosting a diaper party to making a monthly contribution, anyone can do something. Check out our page to see the many ways you can get involved and keep your resolution to do something!
