In March and April, Carry the Future volunteers held diaper parties across the world. The campaign was two-fold; to collect diapers for resettled refugees and to collect donations for diapers to be purchased and hand-delivered by Carry the Future in the camps we serve. Let’s see how much good YOU did…
Did you know that diaper spelled backwards is “repaid?” How can we, from an ocean away, even begin to repay these refugees for all their hardship, horror, and loss? Many of us have struggled with the very strong desire to help, without knowing exactly what to do. Thankfully, our amazing volunteers continue to help us Carry the Future!
Some of the greatest needs in the camps are everyday basics; like diapers. What better way to show our support! At a time when very little seems worth celebrating, our volunteers gathered across the globe and hosted diaper parties to stand in solidarity with refugees. In the face of all the bad, YOU showed up for good.
Each party partnered with a local refugee resettlement organization or diaper bank to help refugee families right in our own communities. Party goers were encouraged to “bring one, send one.” This means that they brought a package of diapers to be donated locally and they donated funds for Carry the Future to purchase and hand-deliver diapers overseas.
We are overwhelmed by the generosity and spirit of our volunteers! Something seemingly small will have a profound impact on families around the world, as Carry the Future will hand-deliver diapers to refugee families in Greece, France, Serbia, and Jordan. In fact, some have already been delivered.
The numbers are in. Here’s all the good YOU did for refugee families across the world…
That’s worth celebrating!
Thank you for doing SO MUCH GOOD.
