Love is… a new baby being born, a wagging dog that greets you as you return home, a rich chocolate cake, a hug after a scraped knee, a promise between two lovers, a kind gesture to the stranger behind you in line, a pack of diapers for a baby living in a refugee camp…

In every culture, we see the word LOVE in some form. The word itself casts such a wide net. The love we feel for our spouses is different from the love we feel for our children or our friends. People of faith describe a divine love that is reflected through compassion and charity to others. Love is both a tangible thing and an action. It’s something we feel deep inside, and something we can give away.

Give love this week by showing up for refugees thousands of miles away from you.

Here are 3 ways you can show up for some of the world’s most vulnerable people this week:

  1. Donate $10 to purchase a pack of diapers that will be delivered to a mom and her baby in a refugee camp.
  2. Give the gift of a donation in someone’s name. Send them a Valentine to let them know.
  3. Donate $100 to provide a baby bed full of essential items, giving peace to a family knowing their little one has a safe place to sleep.
